Why does beauty exist? To answer this question, Richard O. Prum, an ornithologist, is working to revive an idea advanced by Charles Darwin: the attractiveness of an animal to another of its species isn’t only tied to fitness and good genes. Rather, animals — especially birds in Dr. Prum’s work — are making subjective decisions. He hopes that evolutionary biologists will stop “explaining away desire.”
Inarritu said: "I forgot to thank all the native Americans who made this film possible. I cannot say how surprised I am and how proud I am to have survived this film with all these fellows."
André Aciman’s 2007 novel has spawned a big screen adaptation that’s among the most acclaimed films of the year. Up-and-coming 21-year-old actor Timothée Chalamet plays a young man living in Italy who has a passionate affair with an older academic (Armie Hammer). When it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, BBC Culture critic Sam Adams awarded Call Me By Your Name five stars and praised Chalamet and Hammer’s chemistry, the lush photography of the sun-kissed Italian setting, and the particular nuance and depth of the script. It will be a major Academy Awards contender. Released November 24 in the US. (Credit: Sony Pictures Classics)
Debt: Add up any of their outstanding debts and future funeral expenses.
Income: Figure out how many years their family would need financial support. Take that number and multiply it by their income. We prefer this method because the rule of 10 can be limiting. Some families would require financial support for longer than 10 years. This way, you are customizing their coverage based on their family's specific needs.
Mortgage: Add the amount they still owe on their mortgage.
Education: Calculate the amount of money it would cost to provide their children with higher education. Keep in mind, this doesn’t just mean tuition. Do not forget to include cost of books, housing, and meal plans.
